Telangana State Govt announced it’s EV Policy with a focus on making the state a hub
for Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage systems. Bud-e, an electric vehicle startup
has announced that it is entering into the EV Segment with a promise to provide EV
rental service that is affordable, hassle free and connects the commuters’ first
and last mile connectivity.
At the launch, bud-e founding members Vijay Madduri, Kedar Selgamshetty and Vamsi
Karumanchi have delivered the company's operation plan and vision statement was
also launched at the Telangana EV Summit on Oct 30 , 2020 at Hyderabad, adding
under its pay- per- use model, a user can just pay for using the EV only for the
distance travelled.
Speaking about the policy, Shri KT Rama Rao, minister for Urban Development,
Telangana, conveyed the govt’s action plan and initiative for the EV Segment. He also
mentioned that with the advent of clean technology and high-density energy storage
solutions, a shift to cleaner transportation is inevitable and Electric Vehicles
are no doubt the future of mobility. The State of Telangana, being a pioneer in
adopting Sustainability, aims to spearhead the Electric Vehicle revolution in the
country. Actor Vijay Deverakonda was also present at the event and announced his
partnering with bud-e.
